Evidently, the belly button stump will fall off between day 10 and 14. Here on day 12 we're waiting and watching.

The stakes: HUGE. Well, in our little baby bubble they are huge. These are the last premie diapers we have, he's ready for the Huggies Newborns now. Last week he wasn't, but he's packing the weight on as of late. We have a whole system of cloth diapers ready and rearing to go, but they don't fit around the stump. So, until the stump falls off, we have to use disposable diapers.

WOW, that belly looks so big! It is stretching the little premie diapers to the limit at this point, good thing these are last ones he'll wear. It's like all the weight is in the tummy and none goes below his waist, except his chin, he does seem to be developing a double or triple chin. No worries, I'm sure it'll all even out - we're just glad he's eating well and putting some weight on.
