Good night last night, Nico and Maya were ready to roll at daycare when I picked 'em up at 5:05 p.m. They don't ever much like my fried rice, but a cobbled together dinner worked OK. Of course after a bath they were both hungry, so I brought up fried rice to the bedroom and Nico ate up a bowl of it. Maya would have nothing to do with it. Nico was out at 7:35, snoring away. Maya still claimed hunger, so we went downstairs and she had some applesauce mixed with a squash HappyTot. She had a 3 hour nap at daycare and it ended at 3:45, so it's not too surprising she didn't fall asleep until 8:30 or so. But, what I really wanted to write about was that Nico came up with an idea last night and mentioned it again this morning: Nico wants us to write a letter to three friends from daycare, Trekkie, Liam and Milo. He wants to tell them we live on Fremont Street and they can come over anytime to our house. If they have toys they want to bring to play with or anything they can just bring them. I mentioned to Nico that we had their phone numbers, so we could call and set up a playdate for the weekend, but Nico was adamant that we write a letter. But since we'd already painted and bathed, we decided to write the letter later. When Nico mentioned it this morning, I said OK let's write it. He was all ready to do so, but then wanted to watch a movie first and that's what we're doing... But evidently we need to arrange some social events for Nico in the near future...
