All in all a pretty epic day! Mama was here until 9 a.m. getting ready for work and getting the fairy house set up. The fairy house was used about 1/10th of the time it took to set up, but such is a fairy house's fate on day one when an operational model train is available. Nico pretty much wanted to run the train and then have Maya or Daddy run the train most of the day. We did get outside on a very warm late December day and played in the yard/garage/driveway for a bit as we get ready to bike over to the co-op for a few groceries. We tooled around Harriet on the way over and Calhoun on the way back. In between train playing we got the playdoh out and played with that for a good 45 minutes making various things, mostly popcicles. Toe impressions were quite popular too. We played with the train for 10 minutes after an early bath and Nico wanted to start reading stories at about 7:15. Maya had a short nap today and she was asleep by 7:30. Nico lasted through all 4 stories and then was asleep by 7:55. Fun day, glad they were tired. Nico mentioned he needed a good night's rest since we're heading down to see Grandma Nutting tomorrow.

So Nico wanted to wear Daddy's shirt
