Big day today, Maya's first day at daycare in the morning. Here's Molly's report:
Maya did really well -- Nico had
her playing with trucks before I left, and she didn't even seem to
care or notice when I walked away. They said she cried just a little
bit about 10 minutes after I left, when she realized I was really
gone. They said Nico was really sweet, walking Maya around and showing
her stuff.
When I went to pick them up, Nico and Maya were sitting on a rug
reading stories with a couple of other kids, snacking on some
Cheerios. Maya looked completely comfortable and happy. When I said
"Hi Maya," she looked over and saw me, but went right back to what she
was doing, haha. I thought she would cry or something when she saw me,
but she just seemed totally laid back.
It feels soooo nice, knowing that they are together in the mornings. I
kind of think Nico is going to feel better about school now, too.
